Greg Giakoumis serves as Chief Operating Officer for Blue Sky Communities, where he provides executive leadership and operational oversight across the company’s affordable housing development platform. He works across Acquisitions, Development, Finance, Construction Administration, and Asset Management to align people, processes, and priorities, strengthen organizational accountability, and drive successful execution. Greg also focuses on portfolio performance, risk management, leadership development, and the systems and processes necessary to support Blue Sky’s continued growth.

 

Before joining Blue Sky, Greg managed all aspects of project financing and underwriting, from feasibility and tax credit applications to construction monitoring, equity draws, and closing due diligence. With nearly two decades of experience and a proven track record of 80+ deals, 6,000+ units, and nearly $2 billion in total development costs across 13 states, Greg brings a combination of development expertise, operational leadership, and strategic perspective to the organization.

 

Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in Project Management from St. Petersburg College and an MBA from Liberty University. He is a Certified Building Official (ICC), Housing Credit Certified Professional (NAHB), Construction Document Technologist (CSI), Project Management Professional (PMI), and certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
