
Greg Giakoumis
Senior Vice President of Development & Construction
Greg Giakoumis serves as Senior Vice President of Project Development for Blue Sky Communities, where he leads both the Development and Construction divisions. He oversees Blue Sky’s dynamic pipeline, setting strategic goals, ensuring operational alignment, and maintaining project continuity across all active jobs. Greg develops and implements organizational policies, procedures, and best practices while cultivating strong relationships with consultants, architects, and contractors.
Before joining Blue Sky, Greg managed all aspects of project financing and underwriting, from feasibility and tax credit applications to construction monitoring, equity draws and closing due diligence. With nearly two decades of experience and a proven track record of 80+ completed deals, 6,000+ units, and nearly $2 billion in total development costs across 13 states, Greg brings both technical expertise and strategic vision to every project.
Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in project management and an MBA from Liberty University. He is a Certified Building Official (ICC), Housing Credit Certified Professional (NAHB), Construction Document Technologist (CSI), Project Management Professional (PMI), and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
